More Cross Country News

Carl Barton, our PCSO, has passed on the following advice….

“Woodford Halse Primary school will be hoisting their annual cross country event on Wednesday 9th March from 4pm until 5.30pm. The event is county wide and will have around 600 children taking part this year.

“As you can imagine with the number of children attending this event, there have been issues with traffic in the past, mainly due to parents bringing their children to the event and parking their vehicles in the village.

“This year I intend to cone off some roads. The junction of Byfield Road and Scrivens Hill will be coned off.

“The school are expecting 7 coaches which will be parked at the Football Fields.

“Thank you in advance for your patience.”

Cross Country Warning

Don’t forget that the Annual Cross Country event will take place at the school on Wednesday 18th March from 3.45pm – 6.00pm.

Everything will be done to avoid any major disruption but because of the number of people attending the event you will need to allow more travelling time if you are near the area during the event.

The school sends thanks in advance for your understanding and good luck all taking part.

Schools need your support.

Our county has some fantastic schools, thanks largely to people like you! Think you could get involved?

  • Become a school governor – Every school needs a strong governing body. Join the largest volunteer force in the country and help shape the strategic direction of your local school.
  • Become a volunteer reading helper – Join Beanstalk, a children’s literacy charity, who work with schools across Northamptonshire and help children who have fallen behind in their reading.

If you could help a school too, then come on, get involved! Ask at your local school or go to: Northamptonshire Volunteering in Schools
