Yoga Classes Coming Soon…

Sian of Serendipity Yogi’s is offering a series of yoga classes in Woodford.

Serendipity Yogi’s will run Hatha and Vinyasa classes in Woodford Halse, and private tuition in the surrounding area. Classes will be at the Memorial Hall, Woodford Halse, commencing Mon 9th May 2016, £35 for a course of 6 sessions.

Monday:  10am-11am, Hatha Yoga for Beginners (all levels of fitness)

Thursday:  7-8pm, Vinyasa “flow” for newbies (reasonable fitness required)

Autumn Course

Learn About Churches & Parishes with Byfield WEA

Deborah Hayter is the tutor for the course “CHURCHES AND PARISHES: BUILDINGS AND PEOPLE”, a nine-week course, starting on Tuesday 30 September 2014, 7.45 – 9.15 pm, in the Side Annex, Byfield Village Hall.

st marysChurches are usually the biggest buildings in a village: why do they look like they do, and what was their significance to the medieval communities which built, maintained and worshipped in them, from the earliest beginnings to the Reformation?

The full fee for this course is £52.00 but the course is free to anyone on means-tested benefit.

Teens Virtual Baby Course

With the recent arrival on everyone’s mind it couldn’t be a better time to announce this series of workshops for 13 to 19 year olds on issues surrounding teenage pregnancy and parenting.

SureStart and Daventry Phoenix Youth Centre are presenting a ten week course starting in September. If you know someone affected by these issues PLEASE bring this to their attention.

Local Learning – WEA


A History of the Modern House: a journey by design, with tutor Paul Linnell, is a new course from Byfield WEA in the autumn term.

The course will touch on political, social and cultural history as context.   It will be an eight week course, starting on Tuesday 1 October 2013, and will be held in the Side Annex of Byfield Village Hall, 7.30 – 9.00 pm.  Enquiries to Rosemary Johnson 01327 261327.
