Voter Registration?

A Useful Suggestion …..

box_with_XIn order to vote in national and local elections you need to be registered to vote.

You may have had a form recently, inviting you to check your registration.

If you are not already registered to vote in elections, applications can be made online: opens in a new windowwww.gov.uk/register-to-vote.

BUT, if you have recently moved into a new build property you may find your postcode or address is still not being automatically recognised.

Anyone who has moved house since the last election may need to go online to submit their new details for the electoral register to ensure they can vote.

If your address is not recognised online don’t worry; just contact Daventry District Council (on 01327 871100 or email at electoralservices@daventrydc.gov.uk) and they will send you a form to complete manually.

Election Update

Elections update from Daventry District Council

Some residents in Woodford cum Membris will need to go to a different polling station than usual to vote in this year’s County and Parish elections on 2 May.

The recent County Council Boundary Review has caused an unexpected change to the automated allocation of streets to polling stations. In the case of Woodford cum Membris streets have been allocated alphabetically rather than by location.

It is important that you attend the polling station as identified on your poll card which will not necessarily be the one nearest to you or where you are accustomed to vote.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and assure you that polling arrangements will be reviewed for the next scheduled elections in May 2014.

Parish Council : Vote May 2nd

Four nominations have been received for the three vacancies on the Council. On May 2nd you can vote for your preferred candidates.
