We’re only too happy to oblige and we’ve added a gallery to the Play Park page. (Takes a few seconds to load – depending on your broadband speed!)

Play Park Access

I took my grandchildren down to the play park last week and they had a grand time but it took us a while to find it.

I’ve updated the details on the opens in a new windowplay park page to explain the way into the park better.

Access is from the footpath off the north-western end of Elm Drive not far from Chestnut Close or from the western end of Willow Close . You can find the park here on the opens in a new windowvillage map. If you zoom in on the satellite view you can actually see some of the play park equipment!

If your kids haven’t been down there I can recommend it. The grandchildren particularly enjoyed the climbing wall and the swings.

Easter Monday : Party In The Park

The Come And Play Park, 1st Birthday Party.

Monday April 21st, 12pm – 3pm.

This isn’t a fund raiser for Come and Play, it’s purely a big party to show how grateful we are to Joanna Graham Collins, Laura Disley, Emma O’Hanlon, Hannah Barker, Stephanie Hulme for all the hard work, time and effort that they put into building this great new park for the village’s kids. Plus its a thank you to everyone that helped by raising the money and supporting the Come And Play Group.

Play Park on the Ryfields Estate

Play Park on the Ryfields Estate

The play area will be open as normal to kids to play in. On the big open grass area next to the play area we will be setting up an area for lots of fun and games for all the kids to join in.

We might even get a few mums and dads playing the games!

To add the party atmosphere we will be playing a few party tunes plus loads more which we will add to event nearer the time….

If it’s why not nice bring a picnic and make a day of it? There won’t be a shortage of fun!

Come & Play Go Green

Come All Ye Waitrose Shoppers!

If you shop in Waitrose you’ll be familiar with the green disks they give you at the checkouts. These let shoppers choose which local charities Waitrose should support. Each month, each branch of Waitrose gives £1000 to three local charities with the amount each receives set by the number of disks posted.

This month our very own “Come and Play” is one of the green disk charities for Waitrose in Daventry so make sure you collect your disks and drop them in the Come and Play box so that they get the best possible share of that £1000!

Hip-Hooray for Come & Play
