Suggestions For Local Walks
Our local footpath warden is Jim McDerrmott (email: JimMcDermott5@talktalk.net). His predecessor, Joe Pitt, compiled a series of suggestions for local walks which you can find on our Woodford Walks page.
The Jurassic Way
The Jurassic Way long distance path crosses the parish. You can learn more about it here in this pamphlet published by Northants County Council (warning: 10.7M bytes download):-
The Countryside Code
Remember, when you are walking in the fields around Woodford, the land and livestock is our farmers’ livelihood.
Please enjoy the countryside responsibly and follow the Countryside Code. You can read the Code on-line here (opens in a new window) or you can download a copy to print and read (this version may not be suitable for users of assistive technology, you can request one here.).
