The Great Central Woodland Management Committee is planning to set up a “railway heritage trail” around the part of the woodland that was occupied by the railway wagon yards until the 1960’s.
The trail will have a series of boards next to paths in the woodland, indicating what used to be there and its importance for village history.
These are the sort of boards we are thinking of using. This example is in the Pocket Park, close to Dairy Farm and Harley Equestrian.
