When completing forms you may be asked for personal information such as name, address, postcode, email address, etc. It is only when you supply this type of information that you can be personally identified. Information we collect from visitors and those registering will be used:-

We publish some personal information (names, emails, telephone numbers) as part of the various directories of local clubs and services on this site. Since this is for the benefit of the village as a whole and for the organisations concerned we consider that this processing is a matter of legitimate interest under GDPR. When you add comments to pages or posts on this site your log-on identification is displayed. You should be aware that this will make your views public and could display personal data (depending on your choice of log-on id). If you wish to comment in confidence please email firstname.lastname@example.org. For other processing of personal information we will seek explicit consent.

Our Data Protection Officer
The Parish Council, in common with all public bodies, has to appoint a Data Protection Officer. To minimise the costs of this to the Parish, the Council has chosen to use a shared service with other Councils and has appointed Northamptonshire County Association of Local Councils (NCALC). We welcome photographs and graphics to accompany articles or information about village organisations, groups, companies or events. We reserve the right to crop and re-size images in order to meet layout requirements.
If you supply photographs or other images together with information for publication on this site we will assume that (a) you own the copyright for those photographs and (b) you are granting permission for their publication on this site. If you provide details of a web site associated with your article we will assume that we are entitled to publish a logo and other images from from that web site as part of promoting your information. If you ask us to display a copyright notice with any image we will do so.

Local Directory Information
Woodford Halse Village Signpost contains details of representatives of local groups and companies. This information is provided purely so that local residents can contact those organisations in relation to the organisation’s expressed goals. Organisations are encouraged to let the Signpost know of any change in individuals that should be included on our contact pages or in the Woodford Business Directory.
Email alerts and newsletters
If you sign up to receive alert on updates to this site, we will use the information you give us to provide the service you have requested. We may occasionally contact newsletter alert subscribers to help us evaluate and improve the service that we offer.
