Covid Pass Scam Alert

The Signpost got an invitation to apply for an “NHS Covid Travel Certificate”. Closer inspection of the email address showed it originated in Japan. The NHS has gone global. Who knew?

In reality this is a scam designed to obtain bank account or other personal information.

Action Fraud has published guidance on these frauds and we’re happy to pass it on as a warning to folk that might not recognise these crooks.

  • The NHS App is FREE
  • The NHS COVID Pass is FREE
  • The NHS will NEVER ask for payment or any financial details

We’ve forwarded our email as the guidance suggests.
