Meeting Summary

Paul Blackwell, Chair of the Parish Council, has provided this short summary of the November Parish Council meeting. The formal minutes will be published after the next council meeting at which they will be approved.

November 9th Meeting

A major Council contract is out to tender for Grass Cutting – Scotts Landscaping who have provided the service for many years have ceased to offer a service from 2022.

The Council received reports from the Library; Estates & Woodland Committees, including the Wetland Top Path project which is nearing completion.

Councillors received a briefing on the West Northamptonshire Strategic Plan – no employment or housing areas are identified in our area (main areas for development are Northampton; Long Buckby, Daventry, Towcester & Brackley).

Speed activation signs for the village, additional play equipment and the Queen’s Jubilee tree planting were all considered and further reports were requested.

The Council will be preparing its budget for next year over the coming month & Councillors were asked to notify the Chairman of items that should be considered, including “green” ones in line with reducing emissions.
