“SKEW” Garden!

Recognising the Impact of Covid-19

At a recent meeting of Woodford Halse Garden Club, the committee decided they would like to recognise the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the local community, both in terms of those who have suffered illness or the loss of loved ones and as a tribute to the work of the local community and key workers. The club agreed to donate 500 white narcissi bulbs to naturalise and multiply over the years and, with the support of the Parish Council and the Great Central Woodland Committee, the area between the Station Road entrance to the woodland and the skew railway bridge has been earmarked for this.

The Parish Council has also agreed funds for some additional planting which members of the garden club will help to plant up and maintain.
