Supporting Northamptonshire Carers

Northamptonshire Carers supports unpaid Carers who look after a family member, relative or neighbour on a regular basis and who couldn’t manage without that extra support. Many Carers have been adversely affected by the pandemic but Northamptonshire Carers has continued to offer support in as many ways as possible during that time.

Support groups are mostly now running face to face again, (with some support still on Zoom), so we are happy to circulate details of Carers and Former Carers Groups running in our area.

More especially:-

  • Daventry Carers Café – meets on the 1st Thurs each month, a chance to meet other Carers whilst bringing the person they care for if they choose to. An opportunity to get info, advice and support, refreshments, and chat with other Carers in their area.
  • Saxon Spires & Long Buckby Carers Drop-in – meets on the 1st Tues each month, alternating between Brixworth & Guilsborough GP surgeries. Come along for info and advice, share a cuppa and meet with other Carers in the area. Carers and Cared for both welcome.
  • Horizons Group West for Former Carers – A monthly meeting for Carers who have recently lost a loved one and would like a little extra support over this difficult time.

Just click on the links for posters from each group, but for further information on any of their support groups countywide please visit
