Parish Council Report : June 2021

The Parish Council met, in the Dryden Hall, at 7pm on Tuesday June 8th.

Council Chair Paul Blackwell provided the following report…

June Meeting

The Parish Council meeting held on 8 June concluded its review of its 2020-2025 Strategy and
resolved to publish achievements to date on the Village Signpost, including the completion of the Street Lighting replacement programme that will reduce running costs to the Parish due to the more efficient energy usage.

Reports were received from the Library & Woodland Committees, with the announcement of a summer Forestry School from the latter.


The Council’s accounts for the last financial year were approved.


In respect of planning applications under consideration, there were many members of the public attending who wished to speak in relation to the Methodist Church’s proposal for an extension which, following an open discussion, was not supported by the Parish Council. Other planning applications on the agenda were supported.
