Garden Club May Meeting
The country’s biggest annual celebration of gardening is currently taking place (Mon 26 April to Sunday, 2 May 2021) Yes, it’s National Gardening Week which raises awareness of the difference that gardens and gardening can make to the lives of everyone in the UK. It inspires more people, particularly the next generation of gardeners, to experience the joy of growing and creating beautiful green spaces.
Keen gardeners certainly know the pleasure gardening can bring and Woodford Halse Garden Club will be meeting on Zoom on Tuesday 11th May at 7.30pm for a presentation from the gardening charity “Thrive”.
Ron from Thrive will be telling us more about the charity’s therapeutic programmes, as well as reminding everyone of the well-being benefits of gardening, something our members have found particularly true over the lock-down period. Members will be sent a zoom link for this talk but we welcome visitors too.
The cost for visitors is £3 who should email us at email@example.com if they would like to join. We are always delighted to see new faces and welcome anyone who would like to join our diverse and friendly club, just email us for details.
