parish council logoParish Councillor Robyn Davison has provided a report on Tuesday’s meeting…

The Parish Council met on Tuesday 10th November for their monthly council meeting. The meeting was held via Zoom, due to lockdown restrictions, with the vice-chair hosting the meeting in the absence of the chair, Kay Coles. There were ten councillors present (including the vice-chair) and two district councillors. One member of the public was also in attendance.

Councillors received an update on the village facilities with regards to Covid-19 and the lockdown. Councillors voted to keep the Kings Corner toilets open, but Covid-19 secure restrictions remain in place. The library will be closed, as will the Memorial and Dryden halls for all but those activities which are not required to close during this lockdown. The café will be operating on a take-out and delivery service only.

Three planning applications were discussed and councillors voted to support these applications.

A reminder to villagers that there are two vacancies on the council. Anyone interested in these posts are asked to contact the Parish Clerk, Gary Smith, on 01327 261169 or parishclerk@woodfordcummembris-pc.org. These vacancies are posted on the parish noticeboards and The Village Signpost.

The Parish Council would like to wish all villagers a Peaceful Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year.

Formal minutes of the meeting will be posted after the next Parish Council meeting at which they will be approved.
