Thanks to Debbie Jarvis for spotting this in the Cambridge University Archive of aerial photographs.
It shows Woodford marshalling yards, in 1949, looking north.
In the foreground centre is Woodford Halse railway station, with Station Road running from right to left diagonally in the foreground and Byfield Road running right to left in the middle of the picture. The southern marshalling yard area covers what was known as “The Bank” and is now part of the Great Central Woodland.
