Parish Council Report
The Parish Council met in the Dryden Hall for its first non-virtual meeting since March on September 8th. The meeting was held at the Dryden Hall to allow for social distancing. Ten councillors attended the meeting and there was a full agenda.
The Library Management Committee Chairperson, Patricia Darby, reported on their first meeting, held in July, and the work being carried out to re-open the library in late September (subject to Covid-19 restrictions). The council also received a report from Councillor Geri Rowe regarding the newly formed “Kindness Group” that is operating in the village. Two planning applications were discussed and supported.
Councillors were pleased to see all of the village facilities are now Covid-19 safe, and that bookings for the halls are starting to be made again. The public conveniences reopened in early September.
The next Parish Council meeting will be on October 13th at 7pm.
