From This Month’s WOW ….
We intend to reopen the Library in Woodford later this month and are following all the guidelines to make it a safe environment as much as possible.
We will be holding 2 weeks of training for volunteers so that we understand the new guidelines with stringent cleaning in place.
We need to register people entering the library ensuring that data protection is in place and that volunteers follow the code of conduct regulations.
The library has been redecorated during the lock down period and rearranged to ensure that people can access the books easily with zoned areas and hand sanitisers in place and posters explaining new procedures. We are introducing a click and collect system for people who do not wish to enter the library. Please look at the Signpost and community library Facebook etc to find out more information during the next few months. Sadly the archives and children’s toys have been put into storage as we have restrictions in place. Group meetings and children’s services such as Rhyme time can’t take place at the moment and use or computers will have to be pre-booked.
