Covid-19: Re-opening of Village Facilities
In response to the Coronavirus outbreak, all Council facilities were closed in the latter part of March 2020 as a safety precaution during the pandemic.
The Government has advised that, at the discretion of local councils, village facilities may be reopened after ensuring that they are as Covid secure as is reasonable.
At its meeting on the 11 August 2020, the Parish Council received a report from the Councillor task force which was appointed in July to oversee the re-opening of all Council facilities. The Council considered all the risk assessments and actions that have been undertaken to enable the facilities to become covid-19 secure.
The majority of actions required have been completed, but the Council is still awaiting delivery of several items that have been ordered as a consequence of undertaking the risk assessments. As soon as these are completed, the Council has delegated the decision to the Task Force to set a date when the facilities may be re-opened (please note that this notice does not include the Library).
