Woodland Work – July 2020

Removal of Dangerous Trees

woodland workPlease be aware that there has been work going on in the Great Central Woodland to remove a number of trees. This work is being done together with our Forestry consultant who advises on trees that might be a danger to the public, especially to users of the woodland paths.

We never want to take trees down unless absolutely necessary. The trees being felled are either dead, diseased or leaning dangerously (some trees have a very shallow root base because of the compacted structure of the old railway embankment).

Please watch out for and observe any warning signs.
