Second Sunday After Trinity
With no church services at present, Pam Hicks has let us have copies of this Sunday’s readings and the pew sheet usually distributed at services. We’re happy to make them available here.
Rev. Stevie Cross advises that she expects all churches in the benefice except St Mary’s Woodford Halse to be open part time for privaate prayer by next Thursday. St Mary’s needs some internal work to be finished before it is open and she is waiting to hear from the contractors. Byfield and Eydon will be open on Thursday mornings and Sunday afternoons. Other churches will have their own arrangements.
We are still waiting for more information on regular services which are not expected to start until July. There is no information yet on when weddings can be resumed even on a very small scale. Small scale funerals can go ahead once the church is open for private prayer and hand sanitisers have been installed. All social distincing requirements have to be met and there will be no singing. Practical arrangements have to be agreed with the funeral directors. More details in the pew sheet.
