Finding A Giant Roman Villa

The next meeting is on Tuesday 18th February 2020.

The speaker will be Keith Westcott, a Historian and Detectorist, with the story of his discovery of one of the largest Roman Villas found in Britain on the Broughton Castle Estate, near Banbury. The foundations of the villa, which date to AD99, are only just smaller than Buckingham Palace!

History Society meetings are at the Memorial Hall in Woodford commencing at 7-30pm.

The talks are usually of one hour followed by a social time with refreshments.

The Annual Membership fee is £15 and a charge of £3 per evening is made for Visitors. Refreshments are included.

NEW MEMBERS and also Visitors are ALWAYS WELCOME.
