Surgery Planning Meeting

Daventry Council Offices 6:oopm Wednesday January 15th

Don’t forget the meeting this Wednesday. Come along and show your support.

Save Our Surgery logo Byfield Medical Centre needs to expand. Without the expansion they have said there is a risk that they will close. They have been offered land as part of a development plan for a small estate of 78 houses in Byfield. DDC Planning Officers are recommending rejecting the planning application.

The surgery has asked all those that want to see a new, improved medical centre for all the communities around Byfield to demonstrate their support on Wednesday night at DDC’s offices in Daventry. The meeting starts at 6:15pm. Supporters are gathering at 6:00pm.

Having lived in Woodford for the past two years I have seen a huge upsurge in the number of residence residing in the local area. We are very lucky that in a semi rural community we have a local surgery who are always at hand to assist with our medical needs. The plans for enlargement are a necessity in our growing community to help support our younger residence as well as to be able to offer residential support to the older members of our community. Without this expansion , all of us would have to travel a far greater distance either into Daventry or possible Banbury for our medical needs. I support this 100% as long as the plans benefit the community, have little impact on our beautiful surrounding countryside and supports our local surgery.

This is a vital local service for our rural community. Over the last twenty years many new houses have been built but the surgery has stayed the same. I Whixley support this planning application

This looks like a well thought out plan based in what I can see so far
