The History Society’s  December meeting is on Tuesday 17th December 2019 when the speaker will be Emilie Taylor-Brown on: –

A Victorian Christmas“A Victorian Christmas: Pies, Puddings and Indigestion”

This will be followed appropriately by a glass of wine and mince pies to start the Christmas Festive Season.

Their January meeting on the 21st of the month is a meal and quiz for members and friends at a suitable venue to be arranged which will be confirmed at the December meeting. Monthly history talks will resume on Tuesday 18th February 2020.

Meetings are at the Memorial Hall in Woodford commencing at 7-30pm.

The talks are usually of one hour followed by a social time with refreshments.

Annual Membership fee is £15 and a charge of £3 per evening is made for Visitors. Refreshments are included.

NEW MEMBERS & VISITORS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME.

Printed programmes are available at the various businesses in the village that support the History Society with their advertising and further information can be seen on their web site.
