Keeping You Up To Date
The Environment Agency has updated their advice regarding the River Cherwell between Charwelton and Upper Heyford.
“Flooding is possible – be prepared
Property flooding is possible. River levels remain high and are still rising along the upper River Cherwell as a result of heavy rainfall overnight, particularly around Banbury and below. The risk of flooding remains high. Further light rainfall is forecast over the next few hours with a band of rain crossing the area this evening. The river will remain high for the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff have been in the area clearing weed/trash screens today. Please remain safe and aware of your local surroundings and avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. This message will be updated this evening, 15/11/2019, or as the situation changes.
This information was last updated at 11:28am Friday 15 November 2019”
