October Council Meeting

Parish Council’s 8th October Meeting Report

The October Parish Council meeting included a new five year council strategy to be published and circulated in the village.

Spending on the Village Centre, Farndon Rooms and old Air Raid shelter, was discussed and deferred to the next financial year for further consideration.

Works to the Woodlands Memorial area was agreed and planings would be purchased to surface the area ready for winter.

Considerable discussion took place, including a report from Mrs. Rymer (Byfield Medical Centre Practice Manager), on the progress for outline planning consent of the new medical centre at Byfield. All councillors support the new medical centre and the clerk will ensure DDC Planning is notified of this support in time for the Planning meeting.

The next Parish Council meeting will be on Tuesday November 12th, 7pm at the Memorial Hall.
