Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who turned up to help start making the Habitat piles today.
We made a fantastic 13 new piles of fallen branches in two hours! Fantastic work when a team of people come together .
Our aim is that any members of the public can continue to do this on their own, picking up the fallen branches and laying them in piles away from the paths will tidy up the grounds of the wood to allow for the new growth.
The woods is only 40 % thinned out so far, so clearing up the chopped off branches will be an on-going project. It’s one of the many jobs that need to be continued, as part of managing the woods, so volunteers are always welcome. (if you would like to know about future volunteering opportunities let Ruth Curzon know)
Thank you to all of the wonderful people who came today. Many hands make light work and we did a great job together!
