Beavers Help The Homeless

Last Friday night, 11 Beavers from 1st Woodford Halse Scout Group slept in cardboard boxes in the Dryden Hall to raise awareness of homelessness and in doing so has raised £32.50 for the Big Issue Foundation. This means that 4 flu jabs can be administered to 4 homeless people that could potentially save their lives. The village can be very proud of each one of them.

It’s fantastic that young people in the village have this chance to have fun and do great things.

The Scout Group is always looking out for adult help to continue providing unique adventures like this. Whether you can help every week or a couple of times a year, they would love to hear from you.

You can contact them through their Facebook page Woodford Halse Scout Group or email them

For every new adult they can bring into the group, they can offer 6 young people the opportunity of Scouting.
