Update on The Local Offer

Help For Children & Young People in Northamptonshire

A year ago we posted details of the Northants Local Offer, a service for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities who are aged 0-25 years, living in Northants.

The Local Offer is a website to find the information about services and provision for children and young people with a special educational need or a disability and is described in the Children and Families Act (2014). All Local Authorities are obliged to provide a Local Offer by this legislation.

Some of the information families can find on the Local Offer include: schools (maintained and academies) and how they support students with a special educational need or disability, special schools/ provisions, specialist health services (Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy etc), social care services, specialist youth clubs and activities, parent support groups, training and more.
