What Do We Want To Preserve?
The drafting of the proposed village opens in a new windowNeighbourhood Plan is now under way.
Our plan needs (among many other tasks) to identify the things we think are important about the village that we live in and that need protecting and enhancing.
At last week’s meeting of the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group we identified that we need to create a list of “non-designated heritage assets” (Sorry about the jargon!). These are buildings or aspects of the village that we think are important, even though they may not be listed buildings or designated wildlife areas etc.
John Williams has agreed to compile this list as part of the Plan. He is already in contact with some village groups that will no doubt have views on this but would also very much like to hear of any ideas from other groups or individuals about what you think is important in the village and deserves preserving.
An email to this address giving your views and whether these are personal opinions or you are speaking on behalf of a group will be fine. Equally, if you want to leave comments here or on the Signpost Facebook page or to drop him a note at 17, Parsons Street, those are good too.
Watch out for more news as the Plan develops and opens in a new window keep track of any further consultation exercises here (this is Consultation #2).
