Tim Williams provided this update on the latest Byfield Big Breakfast…
“Well, I can smell Mr Marriott’s bacon, sausages and black pudding frying, I can hear the sizzling of the Skylarks Fields eggs in the pan and can just about taste the buttery mushrooms, the savoury tomatoey sauce of the baked beans and feel the crunch of the golden fried bread. Oh yes, I am salivating at the very thought of it all and I’ll bet you are too!!!
Well, not long to wait now folks – for this coming Saturday sees the start of the new 2015/2016 season of Big Breakfasts. The menu remains just as tempting as before and is still £6 per adult and £3 per child. The venue is Byfield Village Hall – just drop in at any time between 9 a.m. and 1 .00 p.m. (last orders 12.30) for a fantastic full English breakfast as above with first course of selected juices (and cereals for the kids) and finished by toast, tea and coffee (as much as you like).
Please remember, the more the merrier – so do bring friends and family, do bring the children, and do tell anybody you know about it as all the proceeds go to the Holy Cross Action Project.
Over the years, this event has become, thanks to your support, a major fundraiser for the Action project. As with all good things, we always need your support as customers, but we now, because of its success are in need of some more helpers too – so, if you fancy helping out either in the kitchen or front of house or in any other capacity, please offer your services to any member of the team. We promise NOBODY will be turned away!!
See you Saturday!
By the way, look out for the Downton Abbey Evening Adverts on Saturday, and do come along to support us in this which has been re-scheduled to Saturday 17th October at 7.30 in Byfield Village Hall. As always, it promises to be an evening of fun and games with a fantastic dinner as well.”.
