Farndon Road Closure
This morning’s notice said that Farndon Road would be closed on 8th December. Since then we have received an update saying that the road will in fact be closed on the 9th December instead and providing the following additional details….
MGWSP/County Highways plan to carry out an environmental survey at the disused railway bridge in Farndon Road. The works will involve the removal of vegetation growth on the bridge and its inspection by an environmental survey team.
For health and safety reasons, the road will be closed to all traffic for the duration of the works period. Whilst County Highways realise that this will cause some inconvenience, a signed diversion route will be put in place. Although there will be no through route, access to all properties will be maintained. Pedestrian and equestrian access will remain unaffected. The works are programmed to begin on Tuesday 9th December, and are scheduled to last for one day. Letters will be delivered to local residents in due course.
The road will be closed for one day from 0930-1530.
