Police hand out forensic marking kits to schools –
Police are in the process of rolling-out a crime prevention programme to schools across Northamptonshire. Officers are visiting primary and secondary schools to provide crime prevention advice, as well as introduce the forensic marking solution SelectaDNA.  Read more

Drivers who do not wear seatbelts targeted in week of action –
Drivers who do not wear seatbelts will be targeted in a week of action led by Northamptonshire Police.  As part of a Europe-wide campaign launched today, officers from the county will clampdown on people who fail to abide by seatbelt laws, either by not wearing a seatbelt while driving or by not making sure children are properly secured.  Read more

Force to sign up to Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme –
From Saturday 8 March, Northamptonshire Police will sign up to a Home Office scheme by putting a formal mechanism in place meaning that people can make inquiries about a partner if they are worried that they may have been abusive in the past.  Read more
