New PCSO from March 1st
POLICE community support officer Carl Barton will be out on the beat in Woodford Halse next week, when he becomes the village’s dedicated PCSO.
Carl will take over the role from Saturday, 1 March, replacing PCSO Jane Coaley. Jane will still have links with Woodford Halse as she continues to work in the area on the wider Staverton beat.
Carl has been a PCSO for 11 years, having spent the last four working in Staverton area. He is looking forward to working on his new dedicated beat in Woodford Halse.
He said: “Having worked in the area for the last few years, I already have a good knowledge of the area and I’m looking forward to working with residents and local businesses.
“Speeding is an ongoing issue in the village. It has been chosen by local people as a priority for police to deal with and I will be working with my safer community team colleagues to carry out speed checks and enforcement.”
Anyone wishing to contact Carl or other local officers can contact them on 101 or by email at SCT-DaventryRural@northants.police.uk.
