Worried about the planned integration of local government in Northamptonshire?
Here is your chance to find out more.
A “Question Time” event in Daventry on Saturday 14th July, 6:30 to 8:00pm at the iCon Centre will give local residents a chance to find out more about local government reorganisation across Northamptonshire.
Speakers include Danny Moody, CEO of Northamptonshire County Association of Local Councils, Daventry Councillor Ken Ritchie and Professor Colin Copus (Professor of Local Politics at De Monfort University).
You can book your place on the Eventbrite web site democracy-in-daventry-question-time; or you can email the event chair Abigail Campbell on firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a place and ask a question in advance.
This is your opportunity to find out more about how you services and representation will be affected once Daventry District Council is dissolved as it will be under the new proposals.
Please also respond to the consultation on local government by visiting www.futurenorthants.co.uk or by collecting a form from your local library.
If you feel the current proposal will not meet local needs, there is an online petition calling for Daventry to be its own unitary authority here:

Although, originally billed as taking part, local MP Chris Heaton-Harris has chosen not to appear at the event, according to this article in the Daventry Express.
