Anti-Fraud Hint #84

Tax Office Fraud

The National Fraud Intelligence Bureau and the City of London Police have issued guidelines relating to fraudulent activity in relation to messages from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC).

HMRC have also published examples of fraudulent emails so you can know what to look out for.

If you have been affected by this or any other fraud, report it to Action Fraud by calling 0300 123 2040, or visit www.actionfraud.police.uk.
