Winners of 2014 NAYC Positive Participation Award
Congratulations to Aimee Ford-Young and Woodford Halse Youth Club for winning the Positive Participation award at this year’s annual Northamptonshire Association of Youth Clubs (NAYC) awards. This recognition of Aimee’s work in setting up and running the club comes just over a year after sthe club’s first meetings in the summer of 2013.
Aimee was nominated by Crystal Jones from NAYC who has been supporting the set up of the Youth Club in Woodford Halse including helping to organise the club’s first residential outing to the Whitemore Lakes Activity Centre planned for next March.
The NAYC exists to promote and support the work of youth groups across the county and each year marks the achievement of youth leaders by recognising the contribution made by so many volunteers. The event is held every year to thank the hundreds of Voluntary Youth Workers in Northamptonshire who give their time and energy to provide positive activities and a safe environment for young people in the community. This was the 53rd annual event and took place at Kings Park Conference and Sports Centre on 4th December.
On 26th January the Club will be holding a open evening in the Hinton Room to allow parent’s to find out more about the Club and its plans for the coming year.
