Northants Police Twitterthon (!)

Force Twitterthon on burglary, robbery and vehicle crime – Monday 4 November

twitterNorthants Police will be tweeting updates and crime prevention advice around burglary, robbery and vehicle crime in a Twitterthon on Monday 4 November.

Between 2pm and 9pm, the Force will be using Twitter to highlight crimes under investigation, police activity and crime prevention advice.

They will be tweeting @northantspolice #darkernights – and have invited everyone to join in the conversation, help stay safe and keep homes and vehicles secure. Any bright ideas welcome!

Remember, Twitter is not the place to report an emergency – in these circumstances always ring 999.

Assistant Chief Constable Andy Frost said: “This is an innovative approach to getting a message out on crime prevention at a time when, traditionally, darker nights lead to higher rates of offences such as vehicle crime and burglaries.

“The Force’s Twitter feed has more than 16,000 followers and we will be looking to speak to as many people as possible, providing our Twitter audience with a unique insight.”
