A Message from Adam Simmonds, Police and Crime Commissioner for Northamptonshire and Angela Sarkis, Victims’ Commissioner
For too long victims have not been at the centre of how we prevent and tackle crime and anti social behaviour. People choose to offend; no one chooses to be a victim.
If we were to build a new criminal justice system in Northamptonshire, shaped by what victims and witnesses want, giving them choices, giving them back control, giving them a voice, supporting them in overcoming their victimisation and rebuilding their lives… what might this look like?
The Victims’ Voice campaign is running from 1st May-5th July and wants to hear from victims and witnesses about their experiences and views of criminal justice agencies, the support services that work within it, and how they can be improved.
If you wish to take part, please complete the Victims’ Voice online survey at: www.victims-voice.org.uk
If you know someone that has been affected by crime as a victim or as a witness, please point out this survey to them so that as many views and experiences as possible can be collected during the campaign period.
Alternatively people can let Victims Voice know their views by:
- Telephoning 0300 303 1947 and Victim Support will take feedback on our behalf
- Requesting a postal survey by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephoning the number above
- Writing to the Freepost address at:
|Northamptonshire Police & Crime Commission|
|Northampton NN4 0JQ|
Please take this opportunity to help to shape a better service for victims and witnesses in the future. Thank you.
